Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has said that he was not satisfied with a point in Sunday's Madrid derby against Real Madrid.
Atletico trailed the La Liga clash until the 83rd minute after Karim Benzema sent Los Blancos into an early lead, but Luciano Vietto secured a share of the spoils late on.
Despite earning a late point, Simeone has claimed that the game was there for the home side to win, having missed the chance to level from the penalty spot in the first period.
"The feeling is that the game was ours to win and dropped two points," Simeone told reporters.
"In the first half, except for the first 10 or 12 minutes, the team created some good openings through [Angel] Correa, in addition to the penalty, but [Madrid] found the goal and became more comfortable on the pitch.
"In the second half, the feelings were much better for us. We went from less to more, got the draw and forced [Keylor] Navas into saving his team from defeat."
Antoine Griezmann missed from the spot in the first half after Sergio Ramos had brought Tiago to the ground inside the penalty box.
