Elche boss Fran Escriba has said that he was pleased with his side's performance in Friday's 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon.
The home side had to wait until the 72nd minute to take the lead through Miranda, before Diego Costa converted a late penalty.
However, despite praising his side, Escriba bemoaned missed opportunities in the Spanish capital.
"We had our chances to go ahead in the first half, but in the second half everything changed," Inside Spanish Football quotes Escriba as telling reporters at a press conference.
"Regardless of how of well we feel we've performed, the result is what it is and we leave without anything. Holding on for ninety minutes here is difficult. We should have scored, we needed to and we had enough chances to do that."
Elche currently sit 15th in the La Liga table.
