Gabi: 'We are like Robin Hood'

Atletico Madrid captain Gabi compares his team to Robin Hood, who was known for robbing from the rich and giving to the poor.

Atletico Madrid captain Gabi has compared his team to Robin Hood.

Robin Hood - a heroic outlaw in English folklore - was known for robbing from the rich and giving to the poor.

The Spanish midfielder believes that his team's La Liga title win last season captured the imagination of the masses as they broke up what was a "boring" league.

"Atletico are like the people's Robin Hood. We broke up a league of two that was already boring," the experienced midfielder told CG magazine.

Atletico have started their La Liga title defence with two wins and two draws from their first four games.
