Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has expressed his delight following the club's Super Cup success.
The Spanish champions claimed a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid on Friday evening to seal a 2-1 aggregate win.
"I am delighted with the work of these boys," he told reporters. "We have faced a great champion like Madrid twice and to beat a great opponent like this gives us great energy and motivation moving forwards."
In addition to the Spanish Super Cup, Simeone has won the La Liga title, the Europa League, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Super Cup during his time at Atletico.
