Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has said that Alessio Cerci will be able to rediscover his best form after joining AC Milan on loan.
The Italian had completed a switch to Atletico from Torino in the summer, but after making just six appearances for the Spanish champions he will now spend the next 18 months at San Siro.
"He was not in the best condition when he arrived," Simeone told Mediaset. "He is a very intelligent lad, and he behaved like a professional with us.
"He came into a team was already well organised, but the best thing that could happen to him is to return into a great team like Milan. Now he'll be able to bring out everything that's best in him."
Cerci scored 13 goals for Torino last season to help the club qualify for the Europa League.
