David Villa has insisted that he does not want to be compared with former Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao.
The Spaniard, who moved to the capital outfit from Barcelona in the summer, has also conceded that it will be difficult for Diego Simeone's side to win the league title this season.
"I think that Falcao is a player who is much loved and always will be for the fans of Atleti," Villa told Movistar.
"I believe that he and I are very different in our characteristics on the field. My mission is to try and make Atleti bigger, not to help forget any player. Can we go for the League? We are at a great disadvantage in contending for La Liga.
"Thereafter, we have to think of going game by game and trying to earn wins in a row and we shall see what happens. But on paper, we are at a disadvantage to the top two."
Atletico have won each of their three La Liga games this season.
