Atletico Madrid have reportedly launched a late bid to sign unwanted Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi on loan this month.
The Argentine, who was Inter's top scorer last season, is considered to be surplus to the requirements of new manager Antonio Conte.
However, Icardi is reluctant to leave the Nerazzurri and reportedly reiterated his desire to stay at the club in a meeting with president Steven Zhang this week.
According to Sempreinter, Atletico's decision to make a late push for Icardi has changed the striker's stance on leaving the club.
The La Liga side has already spent big on its attack this summer, signing Joao Felix from Benfica for £113m.
Romelu Lukaku, viewed as Icardi's replacement, opened his account for Inter with a well-taken goal during a 4-0 win over Lecce on Monday.
