Fernando Torres has come through his Atletico Madrid medical with no ill effects.
The Spaniard, who has returned to the Vicente Calderon on loan from AC Milan, underwent his medical examination on Wednesday morning in Majadahonda.
Upon leaving the medical centre, Torres told the gathering media: "Everything went well. I am looking forward to my first day back, seeing my teammates and starting training."
The 30-year-old joined Atletico as a youth in 1995 and represented the Spanish side until 2007, when he left for Liverpool.
Torres will remain with Atletico until the end of next season.
