Austria recorded their first win in their bid to reach Euro 2016 thanks to Marc Janko's second-half winner over Moldova this evening.
Bayern Munich full-back David Alaba put Austria ahead from the spot on 12 minutes after Ion Jardan had fouled Zlatko Junuzovic in the Moldovan box.
However, Moldova were level 15 minutes later when Alexandru Dedov converted a Moldovan penalty following Sebastien Prodl's foul on Iulian Erhan.
It remained 1-1 going into the break, but, seven minutes after the restart, Austria were ahead again when Janko met Alaba's corner and planted his header beyond Ilie Pavel Cebanu.
Marko Arnautovic nearly extended his side's lead just after the hour-mark, but his long range effort was well held by Cebanu.
Goalscorer Janko then saw red late on for a clash with Cebanu, but Austria held on to secure a win which builds on their opening-round draw with Sweden.
