Paris Saint-Germain will not be able to call upon Angel Di Maria for their Champions League last-16 first leg with Barcelona next Tuesday.
The winger limped off with a thigh problem after just 11 minutes of Le Classique against Marseille on Sunday, being replaced by Pablo Sarabia as PSG cruised to a 2-0 win against their bitter rivals.
The French champions faced a nervous wait over the extent of Di Maria's injury, and manager Mauricio Pochettino has now confirmed that his compatriot will be sidelined for the trip to Camp Nou.
Speaking to reporters, Pochettino said: "Yes, it's over for Angel Di Maria [to play against Barcelona]. We will communicate again in a week to see where we are.
"The fact of not having Di Maria in Barcelona does not force us to leave our main idea [of how to play]. We will find the best solutions."
The 32-year-old remains a key player for the Ligue 1 champions and boasts five goals and 12 assists in all competitions this term - including the assist for Kylian Mbappe's opener against Marseille before his injury.
PSG will play Caen in Wednesday's Coupe de France clash and Nice in Ligue 1 at the weekend before their trip to Barcelona.
