Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has 'congratulated' Atletico Madrid on their progression to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
A 2-0 success at the Vicente Calderon on Wednesday night saw Atletico overcome the reigning champions Barcelona 3-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.
Enrique, at his pre-match press conference, claimed that Atletico "were better" than his team on the night and had no complaints about the final result in the Spanish capital.
"I congratulate Atletico Madrid, they were better than us," Enrique told reporters.
"Our objective was to win everything, but we must lift ourselves up now, which is also a challenge for the team. We have two competitions in front of us now, with great chances to win them. They are two attractive objectives to aim for."
Barcelona will attempt to bounce back from successive La Liga defeats when they host Valencia at the weekend.
