Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino has admitted that the return of Lionel Messi to full fitness is a big boost for the Spanish champions.
The Argentine has not played for Barca since injuring his thigh in November, but has been declared fit for the Copa del Rey clash against Getafe on Wednesday.
"He feels good and he's back in the squad. We have everyone available and that's good. Leo has been working with the rest of the team. Before we played against Elche, he'd only had two sessions and now he's had more," Martino told reporters at a press conference. "All he lacks now is minutes during a game. It would have been too soon for him to have played on Sunday against Elche, but we'll see if he starts or not, against Getafe.
"Leo did his work based on what time permitted. He's recovered well and has worked like an extra player. All he's missing is matches, but knowing Leo, that won't be a problem. If he plays, hopefully he'll get a goal, as he's already achieved against Getafe before.
"Messi gives all of us confidence and helps us grow and with everyone at his side, we feel more certain. In decisive instances, having Messi and everyone in the squad available, is the best that could happen. Whenever there's that, there's always more options."
Messi has managed 14 goals this season despite a long absence.
