Arda Turan has revealed that Barcelona turned down a bid of £45m from an unnamed Chinese Super League club for his services in the January transfer window.
Turan joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015, but was not cleared to make his debut until the Spanish outfit's transfer embargo had come to an end at the start of 2016.
The Turkish international has claimed that a Chinese club tried to sign him before he had made a single appearance for Barcelona, but the Spanish champions were not prepared to entertain the interest.
"Last season, a club from China have offered €50m (£45m) to Barcelona for me but they rejected it because I'm a long-term project. Barcelona didn't sign me just for six months," Turan told Beyaz TV.
Turan, 29, who has scored five times in 10 appearances for his club this season, revealed last week that he wants to end his career at Camp Nou.
