Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has claimed that the Spanish giants are currently playing better football than they did last season.
The Catalan club won La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey during a successful 2014-15 campaign.
This season, Barcelona top La Liga after 13 matches, while they breezed through the group stages of the Champions League.
Enrique has paid tribute to his team's overall level, but insisted that "nobody has ever won the league in December" ahead of what is an important month for the club.
"I have the feeling that we're in our best shape of the season. I think we're playing better than last season," Enrique told reporters.
"We're at a high level, but let's hope the best is yet to come. We're in a good spell and the team are having fun, no doubt. Still, nobody has ever won the league in December. It's an important month, with exciting matches in the league and the Club World Cup."
Barcelona have won nine of their last 10 games in all competitions.
