Barcelona have announced that former striker Samuel Eto'o has dropped his compensation claim against the Catalan club.
Eto'o, now with Anzhi Makhachkala, had started legal action against the Spanish club as he demanded £2.5m commission for the deal that took him to Inter Milan in 2009.
The 31-year-old has since dropped his claim, however, a decision which has been backed by Barcelona.
"Barcelona would like to publicly thank Samuel Eto'o, one of the biggest goalscorers in our history, for his willingness to solve this dispute," the club statement read.
Eto'o has scored eight goals in 11 games for Anzhi this season.
