Lionel Messi has become the first ever player in La Liga history to score 300 goals.
The 28-year-old achieved the feat during Barcelona's ongoing clash away at Sporting Gijon - his 334th appearance for the Catalan outfit.
His landmark goal came in the 25th minute at El Molinon with a precise left-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area.
Gijon's Carlos Castro then tapped in an equaliser from close range, but Messi has since taken his Spanish top-flight goal tally to 301 to put the visitors back in front.
