Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has admitted that "it was really tough" to overcome Sevilla in the European Super Cup on Tuesday evening.
The Catalan outfit looked to be cruising to a comfortable win when they moved 4-1 ahead early in the second period, but Sevilla scored three times in the final 30 minutes to take the match into extra time.
Pedro ultimately won it for Enrique's team, who must now switch their focus to the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup, which takes place on Friday against Athletic Bilbao.
"It's hard to win any trophy and this match showed that. The game was really difficult for us at the beginning – we started off falling behind but came back against difficult opponents. It was really tough," Enrique told reporters.
"We're really happy about the trophy, for ourselves, the players and supporters. Sevilla reacted really well. We now have to think about the Spanish Super Cup."
Barca have now won the European Super Cup five times.
