Villarreal boss Marcelino has bemoaned his side's bad luck following Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Barcelona.
The Yellow Submarine led 2-0 after 55 minutes at El Madrigal following goals from Cani and Manu Trigueros, but own goals from Gabriel Paulista and Mateo Musacchio allowed Barcelona to move level.
The Catalan outfit then secured all the points late on when Lionel Messi struck from close range.
"Luck is a decisive factor at certain times and today we've had very little. In the first half of the season we were lucky in some of our games. Losing 2-3 against Barca and scoring two own goals is cruel. We could even have tied the game towards the end," Inside Spanish Football quotes Marcelino as saying.
"I think the defeat was unfair and then there was a final move that was decisive. It's a tough defeat to take. Two own goals, injuries and a referee who blew for something outside the area, that was inside."
Villarreal have lost three of their last four in the league.
