Gerard Pique to face spell on sidelines

Gerard Pique is likely to miss Barcelona's match with Real Zaragoza after sustaining a thigh injury during the win over AC Milan.

Barcelona's Gerard Pique is likely to miss his side's La Liga meeting with Real Zaragoza this weekend after picking up a thigh injury.

The defender was forced off after 75 minutes of Barca's 3-1 victory over AC Milan last night, and the club's official website has revealed that the 25-year-old sustained an injury on the bicep femoris of his left thigh.

Barcelona have yet to announce a recovery date.

The former Manchester United player helped his side advance to their fifth Champions League semi-final in a row after defeating Serie A champions AC Milan 3-1 on aggregate.

Pep Guardiola's team will now face either Chelsea or Benfica in the next round.
