Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he would like to manage Newell's Old Boys at some stage of his career.
Pochettino began his career at the Argentine outfit, spending five years in the senior ranks before signing for Espanyol in 1994.
While the former Tottenham Hotspur boss currently has his sights set on a top European job, the 48-year-old has acknowledged that he wants to return to his ex-club in the future, potentially alongside Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
Speaking to Radio del Plata, Pochettino said: "I hope to return to the club one day. I can still wait, preferably it will be in 10 years. With Messi."
Coincidentally, Messi has followed a similar career path to Pochettino, spending his youth days at Newell's Old Boys before moving to Barcelona.
Messi was aged just six years old when he signed with the club in 1994, the same year in which Pochettino departed for La Liga.
