Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara has been ruled out for eight weeks with a serious knee injury.
The 21-year-old ruptured his medial knee ligaments during Saturday's dramatic 3-2 victory at Sevilla.
The Spaniard is now expected to miss up to 11 matches for the Blaugrana.
Barca travel to Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday before they take part in the first El Clasico of the season against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou four days later.
