Sports Mole dissects the action as Barcelona record a 3-2 victory over Sevilla at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuan on Saturday.

Barcelona scored twice in the final four minutes to secure a 3-2 win over Sevilla and make it six wins from six league matches this season.

Sevilla moved into a two goal lead with strikes from Piotr Trochowski and Alvaro Negredo, but a double from Cesc Fabregas levelled the score at 2-2 in the 90th minute.

The Catalans were not finished, however, as they scored a late winner through David Villa to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Here, Sports Mole dissects the 90 minutes of action between the two La Liga rivals.

Was the result fair?

On the balance of play, you would have to say yes. But that does not make it any easier on the home side. In truth, Barcelona dominated possession all evening, but Sevilla's game-plan worked tremendously as they raced into a 2-0 lead. Unfortunately, they continued to drop deeper and deeper in the latter stages and it was only ever going to go one way.

Sevilla's performance

7/10. There were plenty of positives for Sevilla this evening with the performances of Alberto Botia, Emir Spahic and Jesus Navas to name but a few. They will feel aggrieved by the red card handed to Gary Medel, but they struggled to keep possession in the second period.

Barcelona's performance

7/10. Barcelona will play better than tonight this season, that is for certain. They dominated the football all evening, but struggled to create any real chances with their final ball lacking all too often. That said, they demonstrated a wonderful attitude in the final moments of the match to rescue a win. The result will have hurt those in Madrid.

Sports Mole's man of the match

Cesc Fabregas: The Spaniard entered the match having not scored a league goal since January, but his double in the second period sent his team on their way. He was at the thick of each passing move as the match advanced.

Biggest gaffe of the match

Fabregas's reaction to the 'headbutt' from Medel was quite embarrassing. The pair did clash heads, but it was the slightest of touches. The Spaniard's reaction got the Sevilla midfielder dismissed, that is for certain.

Referee performance

Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz had a fairly eventful 90 minutes of action. He had an absolute horror five minutes in the second period when he failed to send off Barcelona's Sergio Busquets for a dangerous tackle, but chose to dismiss Medel for a slight clash of heads with Fabregas moments later. He also missed a clear handball from Thiago in the build-up to Barcelona's second.

What next?

Sevilla: Sevilla will look to return to winning ways when they face Celta Vigo in La Liga next Friday.

Barcelona: Barcelona are back in Champions League action away to Benfica this week before hosting Real Madrid in El Clasico next Sunday.
