Valencia have reportedly made an attempt to sign Barcelona defender Oscar Mingueza on a loan deal until the end of the season.
While the academy graduate has made 10 starts and eight substitute appearances this campaign, the 22-year-old has been less involved since the beginning of December.
At a time when Barcelona are open to freeing up space in their squad, the versatile defender is an obvious option when it comes to potential departures.
According to Marca, Valencia are ready to take advantage of the situation by putting together a loan proposal for the Spain international.
The report claims that Los Murcielagos are keen on a deal on a temporary basis, without possessing the option or obligation to buy.
Those terms may appeal to Barcelona providing that Valencia are prepared to pay Mingueza's wages in full over the next five months.
