Barcelona have cruised to a 4-1 win over Getafe in La Liga this evening.
Thiago came close to breaking the deadlock after 25 minutes when he danced his way through a couple of tackles before blasting a shot against the bar. The visitors did go ahead seven minutes later, however, as Adriano slotted his effort into the bottom corner after good work from Cesc Fabregas.
Barca had a strong penalty shout turned down after 66 minutes when Miguel Torres seemingly brought substitute Lionel Messi down inside the box, but the ref waved play on.
They were awarded a spot kick just six minutes later, however, as Pedro twisted and turned inside the box before eventually being brought down by Juan Valera. Messi stepped up and fired it down the middle to make it 2-0.
Just four minutes later, and less than 20 minutes after coming on, Messi had his second of the game as he converted Montoya's cross to score a record 61st goal in this calender year.
Getafe hit back immediately, however, as Pablo Sarabia came on and just a minute later saw his shot take a double deflection, the last of which came off Javier Mascherano, and go in to make it 3-1.
The visitors killed the game off for good in the first minute of injury time as David Villa, another sub, latched on to a ball over the top of the defence before slotting the ball past Moya.
