Barcelona will reportedly have to pay €25m (£21.23m) if they wish to sign Alaves forward Lucas Perez.
As a result of Ousmane Demebele's torn hamstring, Barcelona may be in a position where they can bring in an emergency replacement.
While a final decision will not be made by the Spanish Football Federation's medical committee until Tuesday, the Catalan giants are already considering their options.
According to AS, Barcelona hold an interest in Perez, who has contributed nine goals and four assists in La Liga this season.
However, the report adds that Alaves are not willing to part ways with one of their key men on the cheap, insisting that last year's top-flight champions will have to meet their asking price.
The 31-year-old, formerly of Arsenal, has a contract with Alaves until 2022.
