Barcelona are reportedly keen to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani before the European transfer window closes, with Samuel Umtiti potentially moving in the opposite direction.
Umtiti has fallen behind Clement Lenglet in the pecking order at Camp Nou - the latter now being seen as Gerard Pique's preferred partner in central defence.
The France international has been strongly linked with a move away from the Spanish champions this summer.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Barca are keen to swap the 25-year-old for Rugani, who has also been linked with a transfer throughout the summer.
The Italy international has made 87 appearances for Juve over the last four seasons but has not been included in either of the team's two Serie A games at the start of the 2019-20 campaign.
Di Marzio claims that Jean-Clair Todibo could also be an option for Maurizio Sarri's side if they were to reject the chance to bring Umtiti to Turin before Monday night's deadline.
Meanwhile, the two clubs are also said to be in discussions over a potential swap for Ivan Rakitic and Federico Bernardeschi.
