Valencia goalkeeper Vicente Guaita has reportedly attracted the attention of Barcelona.

The Catalan club are believed to have drawn up a shortlist that contains a number of goalkeepers as they look for someone to provide competition to number one Victor Valdes.

Having searched for a number of months, the Barca scouting staff have identified Guaita as the ideal candidate, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

The 25-year-old has established himself as a key member of the Valencia squad since making his debut in 2008.

He has three years remaining on his deal at the Mestalla.
