Javier Mascherano has admitted that he is hopeful former teammate Neymar will return to Barcelona to reunite with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.
Neymar won eight trophies during a successful four year spell at Camp Nou prior to joining Paris Saint-Germain for a record £198m in 2017.
Rumours persist of a return to Catalonia for the 28-year-old, however, and Mascherano wants to see Barca's famed 'MSN' triumvirate brought back together.
"The other day, I watched the [2015 Champions League] final in Berlin again and what the three up front created was impressive - Neymar, Suarez and Messi," he told RAC1.
"Each of them had a position in the team, the pressure after losing the ball and control. They added a lethal edge to our play.
"I hope Ney returns to Barcelona and they play together. It would be so nice for the club and the fans."
Speaking earlier this month, Suarez talked up Barcelona's pursuit of Brazil international Neymar.
