Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering whether to make an approach to sign Barcelona forward Sergio Aguero.
The Manchester City legend only made his debut for the Catalan giants at the weekend having spent a lengthy period on the sidelines through injury.
However, according to El Nacional, PSG are interested in signing the 33-year-old in order to make Lionel Messi feel more settled at Parc des Princes.
Aguero was signed by Barcelona in similar circumstances before it became apparent that the Spanish club could not afford to retain the Argentine's services.
Despite their contrasting valuations, the report claims that PSG are prepared to allow fellow compatriot Mauro Icardi to move in the opposite direction.
Icardi, who is 28 years of age, has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season but is not regarded as a long-term option by PSG. body check tags ::
