Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has reportedly assured the club that he will not seek a move elsewhere until at least next summer when his contract expires.
The Spaniard has made his desire to play outside of his home country clear, but will honour his current deal at the Camp Nou, Sky Sports News reports.
"Valdes's agent has officially informed our director of football, Andoni Zubizarreta, that Victor intends to see out his current contract, which we are pleased to hear," said Barcelona president Sandro Rosell.
Valdes has one year remaining on his existing contract, and has been linked with a move to either Liverpool or Arsenal.
Barcelona are said to be in the hunt for Liverpool shot-stopper Pepe Reina as a potential replacement.
