West Ham United have resigned Alex Song from Barcelona on a season-long loan deal.
Despite interest from a number of Premier League clubs, the Cameroonian international has decided to rejoin the Hammers, club chairman David Gold confirmed on Twitter.
Song becomes the club's ninth signing of the summer and could be joined by a few more before the deadline, with both Nikica Jelavic and Victor Moses set to have medicals today, according to the The Metro.
Gold told his Twitter followers: "It has just been confirmed. Alex Song has signed a season long loan deal to join West Ham. Welcome back Alex."
The 27-year-old impressed at the Boleyn Ground last season, making 28 Premier League appearances for the club.
