Spain boss Luis Enrique has lavished praise on Gavi for his "spectacular" performance in Sunday's 1-0 win over Sweden in Seville.
Alvaro Morata scored the only goal of the contest in the 86th minute, as La Roja secured all three points to move onto 19 points in Group B, which saw them top the section and secure a spot at the 2022 World Cup.
Gavi, who became Spain's youngest ever international last month, was again named in the starting XI and played 89 minutes of the fixture.
Enrique has keen to hail the Barcelona teenager after the qualification contest, branding his display "spectacular".
"If I decide to bring Gavi is because I believe I know him and because he can do good things. And he has played a spectacular game in front of 50,000 fans," Enrique told Marca.
The 17-year-old has broken into the Barcelona first team this season and is believed to be on the verge of signing a new long-term deal with the Catalan giants.
