Currie urges his Barnet players to show no fear at Bramall Lane

Darren Currie's side are unbeaten in the two games he has been in charge of the Bees following John Still's retirement.

Barnet caretaker manager Darren Currie is promoting a "no fear" attitude as his side look to spring an FA Cup upset at Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon.

Currie, who took the reins on a temporary basis after John Still announced his retirement from football management last month, is unbeaten in his two games in charge of the Bees.

He faces a stiff task to preserve that record as his Vanarama National League troops head to Sheffield United, who are chasing promotion from the Sky Bet Championship and are on a three-match winning streak.

Currie, though, is undaunted by the looming challenge as he told Barnet's official website: "There are a number of things that might happen but I hope we're going there with confidence.

"I want them to play with no fear, I want them to show the bravery that they've shown in the previous two games.

"FA Cup football: there's going to be a shock somewhere, so why not at Bramall Lane?"

Being paired with Sheffield United in the third round draw is especially notable for the 44-year-old, the nephew of Blades great Tony Currie, and the first ever competitive meeting between the teams is one he will relish.

Currie added: "From a personal point of view it's wonderful, it's going to be a great day.

"When the draw was made, it obviously meant a lot to myself and my uncle. I'll have a large amount of the family up there at the weekend."

Sheffield United's promotion rivals Leeds go to QPR with head coach Marcelo Bielsa set to give some of his fringe squad members an outing.

The Yorkshire side have suffered back-to-back defeats but remain atop the Championship table.

Bielsa said on his club's website: "We have players that are not usually starters but they deserve to be starters, so I take these players into account for the FA Cup competition.

"You also have players who are starters but they need to play too and you also have players who prefer to play rather than to rest."

Doncaster boss Grant McCann welcomes the challenge of Championship opposition as his League One play-off contenders look to see if they can compete at the next level.

He said on the club's website: "It's a good test for us and it will show us how close we are to that level."

Millwall and Hull are both on a hot streak ahead of their fixture at The Den.

Both sides made modest starts to their Championship campaign but Millwall have won their last three games to move out of the drop zone while Hull are safely in mid-table after five consecutive victories.
