Welling United are on course to maintain their unbeaten home record after a goal from Joe Healy got them back on level terms with Conference Premier leaders Barnet.
Barnet, who have already recorded 12 league wins in 18 contests this season, started brightly at Park View Road, with Lee Cook and John Akinde both having efforts threaten Benji Buchel's goal.
Welling offered a brief flurry forward that ended with Ben Jefford shooting wide, but it was the pacesetters who were making all of the early running.
Despite being the better team, Barnet manager Martin Allen changed tactics and it brought an immediate result when his side took the lead through Akinde, who powered the ball into the net from close range for his 10th of the campaign.
Shortly afterwards, the 25-year-old nearly added another after meeting Mauro Vilhete's cross, but he was nott able to keep his header on target.
Harry Beautyman had Welling's best chance of the half when volleying straight at Graham Stack, but, with just 60 seconds remaining until the break, the home side found an equaliser.
Stack failed to deal with a free kick and that let in Healy to pounce on the rebound for his first goal of the season.
