Barnsley and Nottingham Forest have shared a goalless first 45 minutes as the sides clash in the Championship this afternoon.
Returning midfielder Jim O'Brien looked to test the Forest goal early on when he unleashed an effort from distance, which just evaded the keeper's right post.
Barnsley came close again minutes later when Martin Woods whipped in a cross for Peter Ramage, but the defender somehow managed to fire his header high and wide of the goal.
Forest thought that they had taken the lead when Djamel Abdoun hit an almost unstoppable effort from distance, which smashed into the right post with the goalkeeper beaten.
Jamie Mackie was next to test the hosts' defence as he leapt to meet a cross from Abdoun, but the striker could only send his header over the bar.
