Barnsley have confirmed that manager David Flitcroft has committed his future to the club.
Reports emerged overnight claiming that the 39-year-old had agreed new terms at Oakwell, along with his backroom staff.
This afternoon, a statement on the club's official website said: "Barnsley Football Club are delighted to announce that David Flitcroft has agreed terms to remain as first team manager at Oakwell.
"The new deal will also keep David Flitcroft's assistant manager Micky Mellon, technical coach Martin Scott and the other backroom staff at Oakwell."
Flitcroft was appointed as interim boss last December following Keith Hill's dismissal, and was later appointed as permanent boss after winning two of his first three matches at the helm.
