Barnsley have played out a goalless draw with Doncaster Rovers in the Championship, with the hosts having missed a first-half penalty.
The home side could have taken the lead in the opening minutes when Jean-Yves Mvoto got onto Thomas Kennedy's cross, but his header went wide of goal.
Rovers tried to hit back in the 15th minute as Bongani Khumalo found space, only to head high and wide following Mark Duffy's cross into the box.
Khumalo was at fault minutes later as he gave away a penalty having fouled Marcus Pedersen in the box, but Chris O'Grady saw his spot kick saved by Rovers goalkeeper Ross Turnbull.
Khumalo was wasteful again in the 26th minute when he blasted over despite finding himself with time and space in the centre of the box.
After the break Barnsley pushed for the lead as Patrick McCourt hit a right-footed effort from outside the box, but the shot was saved down to Turnbull's left.
The hosts wasted another good chance in the 72nd minute when Mvoto's header from the centre of the box came close, but it squeezed just wide of the post as the game ended 0-0.
