Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has revealed that he has been impressed with the improvement of Arjen Robben during the club's run to the Champions League final.
Robben has been instrumental in recent weeks, scoring in both legs of their semi-final success over Barcelona, and Heynckes has hailed the Dutch international's professional approach.
The German coach told Sky Sports News: "Arjen was very motivated after the European Championships last summer. But he got injured and lost time.
"He is still driven by ambition. He has a professional approach and is in good form.
"He is a very important player in my system because he has learned to take on defensive roles. That makes him a lot stronger than he has been in the past."
Bayern meet Borussia Dortmund in the final on Saturday evening at Wembley Stadium.
