Bayern Munich striker Ivica Olic has admitted that he didn't want to take a penalty in his side's shootout defeat to Chelsea in Saturday's Champions League final.
The Croatian, who was playing his last game for the Bundesliga side, had his spot kick saved by Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech.
Bastian Schweinsteiger was also denied by Cech before Didier Drogba converted the decisive kick for Chelsea.
"I didn't want to take a penalty, but had no other choice," Olic told Sportske Novosti.
"At the end I had to step forward as none of my teammates wanted to take the responsibility.
"My shot wasn't that bad, but Cech was great."
The 32-year-old also revealed that he didn't want to leave Bayern on such a disappointing note.
"I'm so sad. I didn't want to leave Bayern like that," he added. "I wanted to win the Champions League. I will never forget this sad night."
Olic will play next season at Wolfsburg after he agreed a two-year deal with the German club last month.
