Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago has revealed that he is ready to fully establish himself in the Spain set-up after impressing during Monday's Euro 2016 qualifier against Ukraine.
Thiago was one of 10 changes to the Spain XI that faced Luxembourg on Friday and the European champions made it nine wins from 10 games with a 1-0 victory in Kiev.
Despite being 24, injuries have restricted Thiago to just six caps for his country, but he is now ready to secure a regular spot ahead of Euro 2016.
"We were better in the first half than the second. We knew this match was more difficult than Luxembourg because we had already qualified," Marca quotes Thiago as saying.
"But [the members of the squad ] who have played less and myself, who has been [away from the squad] for a long time, we were eager. There are hundreds of players fighting for a place in the team. The young players are ready to come here more often."
Thiago has made just three Spain appearances since 2011.
