Bayern Munich have confirmed that Kingsley Coman faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
Coman was handed a place in the starting lineup as Bayern faced Hoffenheim on Friday evening, but the France international needed to be substituted at the end of the first half.
Bayern have now revealed that Coman will be missing for 'a number of weeks', with it being reported that the 22-year-old will undergo surgery on the problem.
The winger was making his first appearance in the Bundesliga since sustaining a similar injury at the start of 2018.
Bayern began the defence of their top-flight crown with a 3-1 victory at the Allianz Arena.
