Manuel Neuer has stepped up his comeback from injury with Germany by playing 30 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Monday.
The 32-year-old has broken his foot three times since March 2017 and made only three Bundesliga appearances this season, the last coming in Bayern Munich's 4-0 win over Mainz on September 16.
However, Neuer has now managed to play his first football in over eight months, taking part in Germany's 7-1 victory over their Under-20s side in the northern Italian town of Eppan.
The 2014 World Cup winner shared goalkeeping duties with Barcelona custodian Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the 60-minute match, which also saw Manchester City's Leroy Sane score twice.
Germany begin their defence of the trophy with a game against Mexico in Moscow on June 17.
