Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber has said that it was good for him to play the full 90 minutes against Hamburg on Saturday.
The 26-year-old centre-back, who had been out of action for five months due to a tendon injury, came back into the side in the absence of the suspended Jerome Boateng for the 8-0 thrashing of Die Rothosen at the Allianz Arena.
However, Badstuber admits that it will take time for him to rediscover his best form.
"I can't complain. It was a good victory for us and it was also an important one in light of the upcoming fixture. So I'd say it was a good day and now we have to look ahead," the Germany international told the DFB's official website.
"For me personally it was great that they finally trusted me and let play over the full 90 minutes. That's always good and it was important to me.
"I'm still far from being back to that form. It was good for me to know they trust me enough to let me play over the full 90 minutes. I'm grateful for that and I want continue and give my best. I know I still need time though. However, it went well and I'm happy that the team worked together so well."
Bayern travel to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday.
