Borussia Dortmund break the Bundesliga record for the most points in a single season.

Borussia Dortmund have broken the Bundesliga record for the most points in a season with a 4-0 victory over Freiburg on Saturday.

The German outfit finished the campaign on 81 points, beating the previous record of 78 held by Bayern Munich in the 1998-99 season.

Robert Lewandowski and Jakub Blaszczykowski both grabbed a double, as Jurgen Klopp's side secured their second successive domestic title in fashion.

Bayern, who will contest the Champions League final with Chelsea on May 19, finished the season eight points behind their title rivals.
