Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has claimed that he would "love to have 1,000 Dantes" in his team after the defender impressed in their 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.
The 31-year-old had only played 51 minutes in the Bundesliga in almost two months prior to Saturday's game, but managed a full 90 minutes in their narrow win at the Signal Iduna Park.
Guardiola told BBC Sport: "I can only congratulate my team, especially Dante in defence. I would like to dedicate this victory to him.
"He's not played much recently, but he's an incredibly important player for us. I'd love to have 1,000 Dantes in my team."
Bayern currently sit 10 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
