Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has declared that the weekend's 4-0 win at Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga was his side's most complete performance of the season.
The defending German champions scored twice either side of the interval at the Veltins-Arena, with Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mario Mandzukic, Franck Ribery and Claudio Pizarro all on target.
He told the Bundesliga's official website: "That was our best game so far in the Bundesliga. We knew it would be a tough test because Schalke are one of the best sides in the country.
"The result is even more pleasing because of that, and after they had some good early chances, we completely dominated. It's an important step forward."
Bayern have taken 16 points from their first six league games under the Spaniard's leadership, with five wins and a draw helping them maintain an unbeaten start.
