Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola paid tribute to Freiburg goalkeeper Roman Burki after his side were kept out by a number of impressive saves in a 2-0 victory in the Bundesliga.
Despite creating clear opportunities on a regular basis, Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller were the only players to find the back of the net from Bayern's 31 shots.
"I'm very pleased with my players," Guardiola told reporters. "Freiburg did very well defensively today but we were excellent in attack.
"We had 13 clear-cut chances and their keeper made some very good saves. But great credit to my players and now we need to take the final step in Mainz."
Friday's meeting with Mainz is Bayern's final game before the winter break.
