Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer has conceded that his side could have lost by an even greater margin than 3-0 during their trip to Bayern Munich yesterday evening.
Two goals from Thomas Muller and a penalty courtesy of Arjen Robben's left boot secured all three points for the hosting Bavarians.
However, when asked to assess the encounter, Kramer admitted that Leverkusen should count themselves fortunate to have not conceded more goals.
"We needed an unbelievably good day and plenty of energy if we were to come away with anything from here today, but we had neither," the 24-year-old told reporters.
"Bayern deserved to win by the margin they did and it could easily have been more. We had no chance and we have to accept that."
Leverkusen have now been defeated on their last three visits to the Allianz Arena.
