Mario Gotze's agent has slammed Bayern Munich for failing to support the World Cup winner throughout last season.
The 23-year-old scored 14 goals for the Bavarian giants during his second year with the club, but came in for criticism for some below-par performances late in the campaign.
Sporting director Matthias Sammer insisted that Bayern were fully behind the attacking midfielder during his time of need, but Gotze's representative Volker Struth has now criticised the Bundesliga champions.
"Of course I would have liked if Mario had felt more support in one or two situations," he told Bild am Sonntag. "I am fully convinced that when Mario feels this support, it is easier for him to show his incredible potential. Then he is one of the best players in the world."
Gotze scored the winning goal for Germany against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup final.
