Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has hailed his team's 5-0 demolition of Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday as their best performance at the Allianz Arena this season.
Mario Gotze and Franck Ribery fired the Bavarians into a 2-0 half-time lead, before further strikes from Arjen Robben, Dante and Mario Mandzukic saw Guardiola's men retain their 13-point lead the summit of the Bundesliga table.
"This was our best home game so far this season," he told reporters at a press conference. "My players put in a great performance and I can only congratulate them. We made a good step forward.
"We were in control the entire game and enjoyed a lot of possession. We succeeded in getting our special attackers in dangerous positions time and time again.
"I am happy for the fans. I often feared that the people inside the stadium would get bored during the first half of the season."
Bayern travel to Nuremburg next weekend before gearing up for a last-16 Champions League clash with Arsenal.
